  • BAS stands for the State Standard of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Electricity meter means a device that measures and records the consumption of electricity at a billing measurement point.
  • Electricity entity means a legal or natural person, which is not the final consumer, engaged in at least one of the electricity activities and responsible for commercial and technical matters related to those activities.
  • FERK stands for the Regulatory Commission for Energy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Public supplier denotes an electricity entity that supplies electricity to small customers, household category customers, and end customers of special social significance who have not chosen a supplier on the market.
  • End customer means a customer who purchases electricity for their own use.
  • Customer means a wholesale customer or an end customer of electricity.
  • Wholesale customer means a legal or natural person who purchases electricity for resale within or outside the registered system.
  • Qualified customer means a customer who can freely purchase electricity from a supplier/trader of their choice.
  • Measurement point denotes the location where electrical energy and/or power are measured by measuring devices, which the system user consumes, delivers to the network, or uses for their own needs or other purposes.
  • Billing period means the time period between two readings of the measuring device for the calculation of electricity consumption and power for which an invoice is issued to the end customer.
  • Supplier means a legal entity engaged in the activity of supplying end customers with electricity.
  • Connection means a set of electrical wires and devices, medium and/or low voltage, including a billing measurement point, used to connect the customer/producer’s facility to the distribution network, excluding distribution and metering cabinets, risers, and main feeders, which are integral parts of the building in collective housing facilities.
  • Connection power means the maximum operating power approved in the electrical energy approval for the end customer/producer.
  • Backup supplier means a supplier who has the obligation to supply the end customer with electricity in case the selected supplier ceases to supply them.
  • Public supply means the public service of supplying electricity to end customers in the household category, small customers, and end customers of special social significance, under the conditions prescribed by the Law on Electricity of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
