Backup supply is an electricity supply service whereby the backup supplier provides a temporary supply of electricity to end users who no longer have an electricity supplier, under the conditions laid down in the Electricity Act.

A backup supplier is a supplier who has the obligation to supply electricity to the end customer, who is not entitled to a public electricity supply service, for a maximum period of 90 days if the chosen supplier ceases to supply electricity.
JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. – Sarajevo, as the holder of an electricity supply license – Order I, in accordance with the status and obligations assigned by the Decision of the Government of FBiH on the determination of the public/universal service provider and the reserve supplier, is entitled and obliged to provide the service of reserve supply of electricity to final customers who are not entitled to the public electricity supply service.
The supply of electricity as part of the reserve supply service is carried out on the basis of the reserve supply contract, in which the prices for the reserve supply service are specified.
