The way in which you can become a customer of electricity from JP Elektroprivreda BiH depends on whether you are a customer who is: Connected or will be connected to the transmission grid (voltage level of 110 kV and above), Connected or will be connected to the distribution network (voltage level up to 110 kV) of JP EP BiH or Connected to the distribution network of other electric utility companies in BiH, and you want JP EPBIH to be your supplier of electricity.
Which customers are entitled to supply within the public electricity supply service?
In accordance with the Electricity Law of the FBiH, a public supplier denotes an electrical energy entity that supplies electricity to small customers, household category customers, and end customers of special social significance, who have not chosen a supplier on the market.
“Household category customer” refers to customers who purchase electricity for use in their own household, excluding commercial or professional activities.
“Small electricity customer” denotes an end customer (legal entities and craftsmen) who cumulatively meet the following conditions:
“End customers of special social significance” denotes entities whose facilities are connected to the electricity distribution system with a voltage lower than 1 kV and who perform activities and jobs of educational, humanitarian, social, religious institutions, organizations, and associations, employment and accommodation of special categories of persons, and other tasks of special social importance as determined by the Regulatory Commission’s decision.

“Reserve supply” entails the public service of supplying electrical energy to end customers who, under certain conditions, have remained without a supplier as prescribed by the Law on Electricity of the FBiH.
End customers connected to the transmission and distribution grid, excluding customers entitled to public supply, have the right to reserve supply of electrical energy from a reserve supplier in the event that their existing supplier ceases supply due to:
a) bankruptcy, insolvency proceedings, or liquidation,
b) cessation or revocation of a license,
c) non-conclusion of a contract between the end customer and the supplier or unilateral termination of the contract by the supplier, unless the previous contract terminated due to the customer’s failure to fulfill payment obligations.
